Bill is a proud Maritimer, with an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Education from Concordia University. His teaching led him to 3 life-changing years in Japan, where he worked for the Japanese Ministry of Education. His small fishing village home and later travels throughout Asia and Europe provided him with invaluable lessons in cross-cultural communication.  These lessons were put to use during his years teaching English and life skills to newcomers to Canada at Centennial College in Toronto. He also taught intensive academic English to international students at Seneca College and York University.  Bill joined the business world with Canada’s largest provider of marketing lists, quickly rising to managing a branch of the List Brokerage group. This role gave him exposure to a huge range of industries across North America, and illustrated the need for clear business communication.  After nearly 10 years there, he welcomed the opportunity to join DCODE and consolidate what he’d learned as an educator and a business professional.
